In close cooperation with our hosting providers, we strive to protect the databases as well as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or falsification. This usage data forms the basis for statistical, anonymous evaluations, so that trends can be identified, which we can use to improve our offers accordingly.

Order processing and recipients of data
In some cases, we use external service providers who are bound by our instructions to process your data. These have been carefully selected and commissioned by us and are regularly monitored. The assignments are based on agreements on commissioned processing in accordance with the Swiss data protection guidelines and/or the GDPR. Independent processing for our own purposes does not take place through the commissioned processors.
Information about the domain holder
The data required for the registration of a domain varies depending on the top-level domain. The required data for the registration of a domain (“minimum information”) is provided at the time of registration or renewal and may include the following:
- Name, organization name (if any), email address and country of the registered domain owner;
- Registered Domain Name;
- Name, mailing address, email address, and telephone and fax number (if available) of the administrative contact for the domain;
- Name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone and fax number (if any) of the billing contact for the domain;
- Name, postal address, e-mail address and telephone and fax number (if any) of the technical contact for the domain.
- IP addresses of the primary and secondary name servers, including their server names, if necessary.
Direct marketing
We use e-mail and direct marketing to inform you about new products and services and to introduce you to new offers (e.g. new services or content) that may be of interest to you. Through this, we also want to create incentives for you to take advantage of new features on our site.
However, we leave users the option to opt out of this communication.
